Happily representing both writers and author-illustrators, I am drawn to work that speaks directly to children ages 1 - 12 and their diverse lived experiences. I believe in literature as a means of connection and personal growth, and appreciate captivating storytelling and the beautiful use of language. For picture books, I'm especially looking for the interplay of art and text in conveying meaning, and layers of interest that hold up to repeated readings. Other favorite categories include: Humorous chapter books and beginning readers. Nonfiction conveyed in an exciting way. Character-driven middle grade novels including graphic novels. Themes and perspectives that are fresh and surprising. Exploring all the feelings: curiosity and joy, pain and doubt, silliness, beauty, connection!
