We are proud to announce Jacqueline Alcántara as the 2024 mentor. Application for this 3-month commitment, open to all Illinois members, is due January 26.

Winning illustrator will receive all 2024 Words in the Woods intensive recordings and one portfolio review with a faculty member.

A 10-week intensive for authors & illustrators with face-to-face feedback among faculty and fellow conferees from April through July. Culminates in a day & night extravaganza at the University of Illinois' ALLERTON PARK & RETREAT CENTER on the second weekend in July. Masthead Contest begins January 1.
