Priscilla (Garcia) Burris was born in Hollywood and raised in East Lost Angeles, Southern California. Her education experience includes degrees in Fashion Illustration (FIDM) and Early Childhood Education. Serves in SCBWI leadership as Illustrator Programs Consultant. She is the author-illustrator of the Sabrina Sue Ready-To-Read series (Simon & Schuster), Hello School! picture book (Nancy Paulsen Books), illustrator for the Heidi and Henry Heckelbeck chapter book series (Little Simon), picture book When Nana Dances, by Jane Yolen and Maddison Stemple-Piatt (Magination Press).
