Harold Underdown's Purple Crayon - A great resource for children's writers from the Keynote Speaker at the Southern Breeze 1993 Spring Conference and the Southern Breeze Springmingle '98 Conference.

Alabama Writers’ Forum - A partnership of the Alabama State Council on the Arts.

The current list of publishers who are members of the Children's Book Council. This doesn't list individual editors, but does say what sort of submissions each firm is interested in. That information is updated about every month, more often than SCBWI's longer and more detailed report, so it's a good supplement.

Phyllis Cahill - A full time professional illustrator and an SCBWI regional advisor. Her site includes links to great sites for illustrators plus an article she wrote on how to prepare yourself and your portfolio to visit NYC.
